Savour Authenticity With the “Fwi An Nou” Workshop

Savour Authenticity With the “Fwi An Nou” Workshop

Guadeloupe

To encourage healthy eating and make local gluten-free flours part of everyday cooking, Prisca of FWI AN NOU sells finished products made from those flours, and also runs cooking workshops where the nutritional benefits and the taste of local produce take centre stage.

The experience lasts 1 hour: a guided walk through the town of Capesterre-Belle-Eau, a visit to the workshop with a presentation of the raw ingredients and the production process, then a cooking session followed by a tasting. Sessions take 6 people maximum, with 3 to 4 sessions possible per morning. The host speaks English, the venue is wheelchair accessible, and the experience is available to order, including on Sundays and public holidays.

Programme

1 / 4

  1. Step 1 : Arrival and welcome

Participants are welcomed by the founder of FWI AN NOU in the very heart of Capesterre-Belle-Eau, for a walk through the streets of the town to her workshop.

  2. Step 2 : Guided walk through Capesterre-Belle-Eau

During this walk, visitors discover the history of the town, its shops and its architecture, along with a chance to talk about the story of FWI AN NOU, that of its founder, and the company's reason for being.

  3. Step 3 : Visit of the workshop and presentation of the products

Participants are welcomed by the FWI AN NOU team, who show them around the workshop, the raw ingredients, where they come from and what they are good for, and present the production process. This is a moment to talk about the company's work, its commitment to the local economy and to sustainable production.

  4. Step 4 : Cooking session and tasting

To round the visit off in style, in under an hour participants become cooks of local dishes and learn to master the blending of spices, for quick, healthy delights they can make again at home.
