His laboratory, where the magic happens, is open to you during this exclusive experience. He will present the company's story, the values and ideas it carries, followed by a detailed explanation of the craft. The experience closes with a sumptuous tasting, revealing all the richness and finesse of this frozen art.
The experience takes place at the Ziouka Glaces workshop, place Jules Grévy, opposite the church in Le Carbet. Allow 20 to 30 minutes, for a group of 15 people maximum, Tuesday to Sunday, mornings only. The host speaks French and Creole.
Claude Ziouka is the embodiment of Caribbean culinary excellence, showing exceptional craft as a master artisan ice-cream maker.
He brings unmatched passion and invention to his work, bringing his island to life through frozen creations as sumptuous as they are poetic. Flavours such as "dlo coco" ice cream, pineapple-lemongrass, guava-basil, or chocolate with chilli and blood orange are testament to his overflowing creativity. Claude Ziouka, a prolific self-taught maker, never stops surprising.
He is an emblematic figure of the Antilles, carrying high the values of a local craft recognised internationally. His humble shop, opposite the church and facing the sea, is the beating heart of the small town of Le Carbet, drawing many visitors who come to taste his frozen delights.
This lover of local produce now works alongside his son, Christophe, with whom he creates unique flavour pairings to delight the taste buds of every visitor, putting resolutely local flavours to the fore.

Step 1 : Arrival and welcome
Welcome in the small town of Le Carbet, followed by a brief introduction to the history of Ziouka Glaces.
Step 2 : Visit of the workshop and presentation
Participants are guided through the different areas of the workshop, discovering the setting where the singular flavours of Ziouka Glaces are born. They learn the key stages and the materials used in production, and explore what distinguishes ice cream from sorbet.
Step 3 : Tasting
To round the visit off in style, participants have the chance to taste ice creams in singular local flavours, choosing one or two scoops depending on the package selected — a complete tasting experience, and a way to discover péyi fruit and vegetables in frozen form.
