  1. Step 1 : Arrival and welcome

    Visitors are received by the owner in a dedicated space designed for their comfort (refreshments and toilets available). Presentation of the history of the Kassaverie, a family business rooted in tradition. A look at the family garden and the cassava plantations, with explanations of the varieties grown and their importance in Creole culture.

  2. Step 2 : Discovering the kassav

    Exploring the facilities where cassava is turned into kassav. Detailed explanations of each stage: washing, grating, pressing, sieving, cooking and finishing. Demonstration of the traditional techniques used for decades.

  3. Step 3 : Hands-on workshop – making Kassav

    Visitors take an active part in making the kassav under the expert guidance of the team. Handling the traditional tools and learning the ancestral gestures.

  4. Step 4 : Tasting and a moment together

    Savour freshly made kassavs, served with local jams, butter or chocolate. Taste refreshing artisanal drinks (fruit juices, syrups and more). Warm conversation around the flavours and the secrets of how they are made.
